Praying for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost is a crucial step in your new journey as a follower of Christ. In the Book of Acts, Luke, the writer of Acts, tells us of the day of Pentecost. They had been waiting for 40 days for God to send His promise to them, and this promise was the Holy Ghost. On that powerful day in history, the Holy Ghost came and those in attendance were filled and began to speak in other tongues, as the Holy Ghost provided the utterance. Today, we have access to that same Spirit as a source of power in our walk with Christ. With that said, upon salvation, it is in our belief that the new convert should immediately start seeking the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. This will provide them with the tools they need to fight off the initial attacks of the enemy on their salvation. This will also give them the confidence to begin to walk in the will of God.
