When someone hears the name SoulFire Ministries, they most likely associate it with a church. This has been a common theme since the conception of the ministry, but here at SoulFire Ministries, we are much more than a church. We are a movement that has set the world ablaze with the F.I.R.E. of change since August of 2024. It began as a vision that Senior Global Pastor, Joshua Muncy, MA.Ed, had in 2023 while lying in a hospital bed in Cleveland, Ohio. After having the vision, Pastor Josh had a dream later that night that would change his life forever. In the dream, Pastor Josh saw people from all over the world on a computer screen listening to him teach the Gospel. He woke up and God spoke to him and said, "Your illness will not kill you. You must do this for Me". Pastor Josh expressed the dream to his wife, Global Pastor Lauren Muncy, MBA, and she stated she felt it was a move of God. Pastor Josh and Pastor Lauren struggled with trying to make sense of the dream for a year, and in July of 2024, God spoke again. He said, "Don't forget the vision and dream I gave you".

In August of 2024, God connected Josh and Lauren with a small group of people in Nairobi, Kenya who was eager to learn the word of God. The first meeting was held on August 18, 2024, and the ministry has been going strong ever since. The following week, people from Uganda heard about the ministry and wanted to join. The week after, someone from Pakistan heard about the ministry and wanted to join. The week after, someone from the Philippines heard about the ministry and wanted to join. One by one, people joined and the F.I.R.E. of change started spreading throughout the Earth. Now SoulFire Ministries has representatives based in the United States of America (Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida and Massachusetts), Uganda, Malawi, Kenya, Pakistan and The Philippines. This fire has spread in less than six months and is only spreading more and more daily.
